2016 Winners

The Young Readers’ of Western Australia have spoken and their votes have been tallied.

This years our results are extra special. WAYRBA is open for nominations from both Australian and International Authors, but the Young Readers’ of WA have decided that Australian books are best!!


The Committee wishes to congratulate all of our winning authors.

We wanted to share this with you, because it’s not just the WAYRBA Committee, but all the library staff in WA who participate in promoting WAYRBA that give children in WA the chance to vote for their favourite authors.

AGM Door Prize Winner

Our congratulations are extended to Carmel High School Library, Mrs Singh  won the AGM door prize, to have Deb Fitzpatrick come to her school for a day.

Deb is an engaging speaker, the feedback from her talk at the AGM was overwhelmingly positive.

Deb will spend at day inspiring the students at Carmel High School.

2016 Update

Please note there will be NO mail out for schools and public libraries this year.
All information that you require can be downloaded from the website.

You can access the order form here or from the merchandise tab.
Please note we do not have credit card facilities, orders can be paid for by the following three payments methods. Cash at the AGM, direct deposit or cheque. Merchandise can also be collected from the AGM – if you email your order in advance your order will be ready for you to collect.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the AGM, please RSVP using Try Booking for catering purposes.

Individual authorities are expected to make their own decisions regarding any controversial aspects of books purchased for their readers.

You do not have to purchase all the books to participate in the voting.
